Mr. Bing's decision to work full time on the Smart Pick affected his family because when he took the time off work, they started losing money. They started losing money because Mr. Bing quit his job and he started using his family's savings to make ends meet. When they lost all the money they couldn't pay for their house so they had no choice but to try to sell their house.
